Want to build your skills for lobbying and climate conversations, particularly those that are difficult or oppositional? In this workshop we will review different states of the human nervous system, and explore how knowledge of these can help us to be better communicators. We will connect this to the skills of “Motivational Interviewing,” which have been shown in numerous studies to facilitate change in healthcare settings. These skills can also lower the temperature in our political conversations, helping us to connect and find common ground with members of Congress and others. Led by John Sabin, CCL Great Lakes Regional Co-coordinator, and Tamara Station, CCL Education & Resilience Coordinator.
